Record Store Day 2022 – Saturday, April 23
This year, we’ll do RSD the way we have for the past couple of years. There will be small groups of 6-10 people at a time coming in to select their RSD choices. Here’s how it will work:
Starting any time, send an email to popsresale@earthlink.net. In the subject line, put RSD2022. In the body, include your name and preferred contact. The deadline for sign-up is noon on Monday, 4/18.
Once the deadline hits on that Monday, everyone’s name will be put in a box. Names will be drawn randomly and given a time slot to come by on RSD. The number of people in each group and the starting time will vary depending on the number of people signing up. Group sizes will probably be between 6 and 10 people, and the first time slot will be between 8:30 and 9:30. Each of you will be contacted that Monday afternoon to let you know what time to come by. Each group will have around 20 minutes to go through the titles and select their purchases.
You might find it helpful to go to the RSD website to check on the titles being released. Make sure you check the release date, as some RSD titles are not being released until mid-June.
If you forget to sign up in time, no worries: we’ll open to the general public at noon on RSD.
The usual rules apply. Due to the limited availability of RSD records, each person can purchase as many titles as they wish, but only ONE OF EACH TITLE (our rule). By contract with RSD, we are not allowed to save titles ahead of time (their rule). Your time slot is for just YOU. Please don’t bring friends, family, etc. The only exception would be dependent children.
